Fire Bill Callahan?

Nov 3, 2007 Author: admin | Filed under: sports

Callahan has been heavily criticized, with close-call wins against Wake Forest, Ball St., and Iowa State, a dismantling by USC, and four consecutive losses against Missouri, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Texas.

Rumors of team chemistry problems, underperforming highly-touted recruits, disenchantment among the players, a nonexistent defense and that Callahan has lost the team have lead to many fans asking for Callahan to resign or be fired.

On October 15, 2007, Athletic Director Steve Pedersen, who hired Callahan, was fired by the University, a strong indicator that Bill Callahan’s head coaching job with Nebraska is in serious jeopardy.

Red Sox WS Champions

Oct 28, 2007 Author: admin | Filed under: sports

The 2007 Boston Red Sox are the World Champions of Baseball. This may have been one of the most boring world series in a while. Last year was boring because the two teams, Tigers and Cardinals were clubs that did not have any following at all.

This series was boring because it was such a blow out. It seemed as though the Rockies never had a chance to win a game let alone the series. So, what do you think? Was the 2006 world series with no name teams more boring or was the Red Sox blowout this season more boring?

Which World Series was more boring?

A-Rod Not a Yankee

Oct 28, 2007 Author: admin | Filed under: sports

According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox sports Alex Rodriguez is opting out of his contract. This means that A-Rod thinks he can probably get $30 million per year to play baseball. I can’t even fathom getting paid that much to play a game.

I personally think Alex is being a big baby in this situation and does not deserve that kind of money. Being a Red Sox fan I am very torn with the fact that the Sox could bring him to Boston to play. I want the big huge bat in the lineup (like we need another) but I don’t like that he’s kind of a baby with his huge contracts.

Does A-Rod deserve $30mil. per year?
