Britney Can’t Drive Kids

Nov 16, 2007 Author: admin | Filed under: music

Some parents wish they didn’t have to drive their kids around. Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered today that Britney Spears not drive with hers.

Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan requested the ex parte hearing because of the many news reports involving driving incidents that show the minor children sitting in the back seat at the time when they occurred.

Britney Spears and police have said her driving could be even more hazardous as paparazzi crowd around and distract her from the road. She has already squashed some toes and run red lights in an attempt to escape them.

Will Blackout help Britney?

Oct 29, 2007 Author: admin | Filed under: music

Could “Blackout” be the break Britney needs? Industry insiders, fans and some critics are saying “yes.”

On her new CD, “Blackout,” Britney Spears acknowledges that 2007 hasn’t been a charmed year. “I’m Mrs. Bad Media Karma, another day another drama,” the 25-year-old pop princess croons to a thumping dance groove on the song “Piece of Me.” “Blackout,” due out Tuesday, may be the one positive note in an otherwise dreadful year. So far, it’s earned her a Top 10 single (with “Gimme More“) and some of the best reviews she’s had in ages. Quote from one exec. “This is a rebirth. It’s a new musical chapter for her.” We’ll see come Tuesday and there after.

Guitar Hero 3 vs Rock Band

Oct 28, 2007 Author: admin | Filed under: music, video games

The two biggest music releases of the year aren’t albums: They’re video games. Guitar Hero may well be this decade’s biggest rock & roll phenomenon. Guitar Hero I and II have grossed $360 million since the first game came out in 2005 — vastly more than any album released in the same period. And the games — in which players re-create songs’ guitar parts by pushing buttons that correspond to notes and chords while hitting a “strum bar” in rhythm — have inspired kids by the millions to memorize the intricacies of “Free Bird” and “War Pigs.” Rock Band will offer entire albums for download, including Who’s Next, as well as eighteen songs by the Grateful Dead.
